“The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am then I can change”
Carl Rogers, 1961
In counselling we will explore the here and now
Life doesn’t have to be a constant balancing act.
You can get peace
You can learn to pause…breathe…connect…
We provide counselling support to adults for:
- Difficult life events – such as bereavement and/or grief, losing a job, addiction or abuse.
- Mental health issues – where counselling can offer a supportive environment that can help with issues such as anxiety, depression, self esteem, stress, chronic illness, developmental trauma, body dysmorphia, self harming and suicidal ideation.
- Life transitions or decisions – with areas such as getting married, becoming a parent, starting a new job, menopausal change, retiring.
- Self-discovery – where someone may seek counselling to learn more about themselves or work on their own personal development.
With many of these areas, counselling may explore events or experiences from the past or present that are unresolved or where there is internal conflict. Through working through these unresolved conflicts or other issues, the individual may experience change and transformation.
In coaching we look forward, starting from the present
A coaching session is an hour to yourself, to think about yourself.
To arrive at your own solutions and bring a sense of clarity and growing confidence moving forward.
Coaching might help if you are looking at areas such as:
- Life Coaching – trying to make things better than they are now, thinking through big decisions.
- Career Coaching – when wondering how to go about changing something within your work, whether you feel ready for a promotion opportunity or may be a new direction and whether a career change is feasible.
- Leadership Coaching – how to find ways to balance the competing demands in your role and deliver at your best day after day.
- Personal Development – working out how to be able to revisit or explore new areas to develop aspects of yourself such as creativity, productivity, feeling part of a community.
Coaching is forward facing and a partnership through which the coach enables the client to make big changes with small stepping stones and achieve what they want in their personal or working life.
