COACHING
Coaching
Coaching is a collaborative non-directive conversation, leading to personal change. It involves sharing your thoughts, questions to explore these thoughts further, reflecting and observations. At times it explores why, with all good intentions, the plans we set ourselves fail to materialise and consider beliefs, values, assumptions and expectations that are holding you back. Coaching ensures that you can learn about yourself and develop in the ways you want to achieve your chosen goals. It builds self- awareness, empowers choice and leads to change.
“Coaching is unlocking a persons’ potential to maximise their growth.”
John Whitmore
What’s Offered:
Coaching may well be something you have not tried before and we want you to have plenty of information to see what it might offer you.
We welcome any and all questions and concerns.
A coaching session is an hour to yourself, to think about yourself, to arrive at your own solutions and bring a sense of clarity and growing confidence moving forwards.
Through coaching you can explore:
- Life Coaching – trying to make things better than they are now, thinking through big decisions.
- Career Coaching – when wondering how to go about changing something within your work, whether you feel ready for a promotion opportunity or maybe a new direction and whether a career change is feasible.
- Leadership Coaching – how to find ways to balance the competing demands in your role and deliver at your best day after day.
- Personal Development – working out how to be able to revisit or explore new areas to develop aspects of yourself such as creativity, productivity, feeling part of a community.
Coaching is forward facing and a partnership through which the coach enables the client to make big changes with small stepping stones and achieve what they want in their personal or working life.
What to expect:
Coaching can be an exciting and empowering journey for many as you work towards your goals and become more self-aware. To benefit from a coaching session you will need to be open-minded and realistic so that over time achieving small goals enables you to make big changes in your thoughts, feelings and actions.
Coaching is client led, meaning we will not direct you or give you the answers; our role is to walk alongside you, at your pace, with guidance and support.
What’s the exploratory session?
In the exploratory session my main focus is to begin to get to know you and to gain an understanding of what you are hoping to gain from coaching. I will guide you through the expectations of coaching; both what you can expect from me and what I will expect from you. We will discuss confidentiality and answer any and all questions. I will introduce the type of working contract that we would agree to adhere to.
The exploratory session gives you the chance to see if you think we could work together and a first session can be arranged.
What’s the first coaching session like?
In the first session I will be listening to where you are now, what you are hoping to change and supporting you in deciding on what outcome and goals you want to work towards. The session then supports you to think through your plan as to how you will achieve them.
You may be surprised when childhood memories or your own limiting beliefs try to sabotage you and we can explore these and see how you can move forward and reach your goals.
My belief is that we are all unique and coaching is an amazing tool to support growth and development.
